Essar Oil UK continues to build talent pipeline with arrival of new graduate intake

Stanlow, 4 October 2022:  Further to its announcement on 7 July 2022, Essar Oil UK has welcomed eight exceptional individuals to its graduate development programme, as the company continues to invest in the UK energy transition.

After a competitive selection process, the graduates, who begin their three-year graduate development programme yesterday, all come from engineering, technology and finance backgrounds and will rotate between teams every 12 months to develop a breadth of skills and consolidate areas of expertise in the refining sector.

The graduate scheme follows the recruitment of a 19-strong cohort of apprentices to Essar’s 3 ½ year apprenticeship scheme in September.  Taken together, the apprenticeship and graduate schemes demonstrate the company’s commitment to investing in the skills and talents needed to deliver on its ambition of being the UK’s first low carbon refinery and of playing a leading role in the North West’s transition to become a low carbon economy.
