We would like to make our neighbours and stakeholders aware of the potential for increased flaring activity later this evening as part of the planned restart of one of our processing units.

Should flaring occur, the flare may be visible from outside the site and there may be periods of increased noise while restart activities are completed.

We expect any flaring activity to be temporary. However, we recognise that visible flaring can attract attention and may cause concern, so we wanted to provide advance notice and keep people informed.

We apologise for any inconvenience and appreciate your patience and understanding. More information about flaring can be found here: https://www.eetfuels.com/environment-report/#flares

Flaring – 13.08.26

We are currently experiencing a period of elevated ambient temperatures, which is resulting in increased flaring activity at the refinery.

Our operational teams are actively managing refinery processes and making appropriate adjustments to reduce flaring.

We recognise the importance of minimising any impact on our local neighbours and are working to return flaring levels to normal as safely and efficiently as possible.

We apologise for any concern this may cause and thank the community for its understanding.
